The Mistake Almost Everyone Makes Someone takes an evening trip in July. They loved it. They book the same departure time in late September and wonder why it felt different. The sunset moved. In June the sun does not drop behind the water until close to 8:30. By late September it is gone before 7. That is roughly a two-hour swing across a single season.
